Date:2025-11-10 14:25:12
Since July 1, 2023, Iminda has become an independently operated subsidiary of Siemens in Germany
The global spin-off is progressing in an orderly manner and is expected to be essentially completed by October 1, 2023
The operational headquarters is located in Nuremberg, Germany, with approximately 15,000 employees worldwide and a revenue of approximately 3 billion euros
On July 1, 2023, Innomotics was established as an independently operated entity in Germany. This motor and large drive company integrates businesses in the fields of low-voltage to high-voltage motors, gear motors, medium-voltage frequency converters, and electric spindles, and provides related services and project support. The company's operational headquarters is located in Nuremberg, Germany. Currently, the spin-off of related businesses in Germany has been completed, and the global business spin-off will be basically completed by October 1, 2023. Innomotics will cover the related businesses of Siemens' Large Drive Applications Division, Siemens Digital Industries Group, as well as Siemens' legally independent Sykatec and Weiss Spindeltechnologie companies. Innomotics has approximately 15,000 employees worldwide. As a pioneer in the field of motors and large drives, it is committed to exploring growth potential to ensure the company's success in future markets.
As an independently operated legal entity, Iminda has launched a new corporate identity. The new brand emphasizes the company's orientation towards technology and innovation, with a focus on its employee team. Furthermore, based on its new brand positioning - "Time for a new green" - Iminda is well-prepared to lead and leverage the two key market trends of "low-carbonization" and "digitalization" in the industries it serves, contributing to high-quality and sustainable development in the industry.
Iminda's business portfolio encompasses products, systems, comprehensive solutions, and services. Leveraging this portfolio, the company can assist customers in enhancing factory efficiency and making more effective use of related assets, thereby reducing emissions and conserving resources. This portfolio is not only suitable for new factories but also for the maintenance, repair, and renovation of existing factories. With its business portfolio, Iminda can empower customers across various industries to enhance energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gases, and minimize the carbon footprint of factories.
In the future, Iminda will also collaborate closely with other Siemens business units, cooperating as a product partner in the areas of technology, development, and sales, based on the framework of supply and service contracts.
“The establishment of the new company expresses our aspiration to become an innovative leader in the motor and large drive business, and reflects our corporate identity as a company with a history of over 150 years that continuously maintains close communication with customers,” said Michael Reichle, CEO of Inventa. “We are able to gradually replace traditional systems with less sustainability with efficient large electric drive systems, helping customers reduce greenhouse gas emissions, especially in areas with high current carbon emissions.” Reichle said that the company sees growth potential in areas such as hydrogen production, onshore power system integration for offshore platforms and ships, and future-oriented water supply and water treatment.
"Since July 1, 2023, we have embarked on a new journey, and we are delighted to be working together with our many motivated employees towards a future of diversified growth prospects," said Christoph Salentin, Chief Financial Officer of Iminda. "Based on our revenue of over 3 billion euros, we can set ambitious sales targets and establish the best organizational system to enhance our leading position in the competition."
Electric motors and large electrical drive systems constitute the core business and professional domain of Innomotics. The name Innomotics encapsulates the new company's commitment to innovation, coupled with the experience and reliability garnered from 150 years of deep involvement in the manufacturing of electric motors and frequency converters. This aspiration is also reflected in the company's slogan, "Redefining reliable motion for a better tomorrow".
