 (1) Check whether the grounding of the motor and starting equipment is secure and intact, and whether the wiring is correct and in good condition
(2) Check whether the rated voltage and rated frequency indicated on the motor nameplate are compatible with the power supply voltage and frequency
(3) For new devices or motors that have been out of service for a long time (more than three months), the insulation resistance values of the windings between phases and to ground should be checked before starting. The insulation resistance should be greater than 0.5 megohms. If it is lower than this value, the windings should be dried.
(4) For wound-type rotors, it is necessary to check whether the brushes on the collector ring and the brush lifting mechanism are functioning properly, and whether the pressure of the brushes meets the required specifications. The brush pressure should be between 1.5N/cm and 2.5N/cm.
(5) Check whether the rotor of the motor rotates flexibly and reliably, and whether the oil in the sliding bearing reaches the specified oil level.
(6) Check whether the rated current of the fuse used in the motor meets the requirements.
