How is the lubrication of motor bearings used?

Lubrication should have been used in many places. I remember when I was a child riding a bicycle, there was lubricating oil added to the zipper under the bicycle. Last time a user called me and said that the electric motor had been in use for several years and was not running smoothly. I suggested adding some lubricating oil to try it out? He said it's really much better.

The lubrication of the motor bearings should be good. Generally, after running for 3000-5000 hours, the machine should be stopped for maintenance, replenishment or replacement of lubricating grease.

Before using motors that have been stored or unused for more than two years, the lubrication of the bearings should be checked, and if necessary, lubricating grease should be replenished or replaced.

Sealed bearings are used for motors with a center height of 132 and below, while non sealed bearings are generally used for motors with a center height of 160 and above. Sealed bearings do not need to be replaced with lubricating grease during the use of the motor.

Non sealed bearings should be regularly replaced with clean lubricating grease. The lubricating grease should be added in an appropriate amount, usually filling one-third or one-half of the cavity between the inner and outer rings of the bearing. Before adding, open the discharge hole or cover plate at the bottom of the bearing cover. After the motor runs for 20 minutes, plug the discharge hole or cover plate. When disassembling the discharge hole plug or cover plate, the power should be turned off and the machine should be stopped.

Actually, they are all very small details, but if these small details are not handled properly, they can also affect the use of the electric motor. The ABB motors produced by the factory come with their own lubricating oil, which are some consumables. We know their purpose and it will be much more convenient in the future.
