ABB brake motor braking principle
Date:2021-08-16 17:07:28
When the ABB brake motor brakes, the motor is connected to the power supply, and the rectifier of the brake will also be connected to the power supply at the same time. After the electromagnet attracts the armature, it will compress the spring, and then the brake disc will detach from the armature and end cover, and the motor will start running. After cutting off the power, the brake electromagnet loses its electromagnetic attraction, and the spring force pushes the armature to press the brake disc. Under the action of frictional torque, the motor stops rotating.
Working principle of ABB brake motor
The ABB brake motor applies the principle of electromagnetic induction, which can convert electrical energy of one voltage into electrical energy of another voltage. When an AC current flows through one of the coils c, the voltage is determined by the turns ratio between the primary coil and the secondary coil. Therefore, transformers are divided into two types: step-up and step-down transformers. Most Abb motor transformers have fixed iron cores with primary and secondary coils wound around them. Based on the high magnetic conductivity of iron materials, most of the magnetic flux is confined within the iron core, thus allowing for a considerable degree of magnetic coupling between the two sets of coils.
After reading about the braking principle and working principle of ABB brake motors, I believe everyone has a certain understanding of the braking principle and working principle of ABB brake motors. Both require brake conversion to operate.
