The blast furnace blower generates blast furnace air with a certain pressure and flow rate through compressed air, and then adjusts the air pressure and volume according to the needs of the blast furnace to transport kinetic energy to the blast furnace, thereby ensuring the normal smelting of the blast furnace. The stability of the transmission equipment plays a crucial role in the normal operation of the blower.
This ironmaking blast furnace system is used in the steel industry to further optimize product structure and manufacture high-end products.
In order to maintain the stability of the transmission system of the blast furnace blower and keep the "heart" of the blast furnace beating healthily, Kunming Iron and Steel has chosen Siemens to provide transmission equipment for the blast furnace blower. The blast furnace ironmaking blower adopts Siemens electric motor+Siemens reducer.
If such a high-power motor is started directly, it can withstand such a huge voltage without the power grid. Soft start must be used to start the motor, and Siemens' Sinamics GL150 medium voltage soft start frequency converter is used to avoid unbearable impact on the power grid during startup.
During this period, the blast furnace began production and started the frequency converter more than ten times. Each time, it successfully achieved grid connected operation with little impact on the power grid, effectively ensuring the smooth start and operation of the motor. In the entire drive system, this project also uses a Siemens Flender gearbox and coupling with an input of 1500 rpm and an output of 3770 rpm. This speed can ensure that the blower absorbs enough air and outputs the required rated value.
The transformation of steel plant equipment is different from the transformation of general factory equipment, and the loss cannot be calculated even if the equipment is stopped for one day. Therefore, the renovation must be carried out without affecting the normal production of the blast furnace. This is a hard test for Siemens' professional technology and products.
After close cooperation, careful organization, and detailed planning by Siemens experts, Kunming Iron and Steel management, and experts, it only took one week to install the equipment in one step and debug it in one step. While ensuring production, the upgrade and transformation of the fan frequency converter and automation system were completed.
