Maintenance and Inspection of High Power Motors
Date:2020-07-15 11:18:24

Chuangjuman Electromechanical received inquiries from customers regarding high-voltage and high-power electric motors. Additionally, their engineers asked Chuangjuman Electromechanical if they have any maintenance services? Uh huh, we have been doing maintenance for many years, and we are all experienced technicians directly responsible for the technology in the factory.
At first, their engineers were hesitant because the motor they had previously repaired had reached a temperature of over 120 degrees Celsius after running for 10 hours and they dared not use it.
I said, we can provide on-site service or directly package your factory's high-power motors to us, so that maintenance and repair can also be solved together.
Listed companies use over 1000 high-power motors per year, and many of their equipment is also in the maintenance period. We have scheduled an on-site inspection.
Equipment malfunction symptoms: high motor temperature, excessive overall vibration, high bearing temperature and abnormal noise, excessive motor current, lack of major maintenance during long-term operation.

Reason for equipment malfunction:
1. Coil: Due to long-term operation and lack of major maintenance, Siemens high-voltage motors have accumulated dust and oil stains on the stator wires, resulting in poor heat dissipation of the motor and high coil temperature. The insulation of the coil has also decreased and aged (note: motors generally require major maintenance once every 5 years of normal operation, and timely maintenance is beneficial for extending the service life of the motor).
2. Bearings: Siemens high-voltage motor bearings have reached their service life due to prolonged operation and failure to replace them in a timely manner, resulting in high bearing wear and temperature (note: bearings generally have a normal service life of 5 years).

The solution we provide is the maintenance method for the equipment motor:
Firstly, disassemble the Siemens motor, followed by methanol cleaning of the coil, dust removal, drying, wet painting (soaking the entire motor with F-grade insulation paint), secondary drying (divided into two wet paints, each drying for 24 hours), DC resistance testing of the coil after drying, and high-voltage 1800V withstand voltage testing of the coil. Replace the front and rear bearings and end caps, add Mobil N3 lubricating oil, perform rotor dynamic balancing, conduct no-load current testing, run the no-load test, and spray paint the entire motor.
Equipment motor maintenance method:
Firstly, the motor is disassembled, the stator coil is removed, and the coil winding is reinstalled. The winding is made of F-pole enameled wire, with a temperature resistance of over 180 degrees, wrapped with insulation layer, and the entire motor is immersed in F-grade insulation paint. The motor is then dried in an oven (with two wet paints and 24 hours each time) for DC resistance testing and high-voltage 1800V withstand voltage testing of the coil. The front and rear bearings and end caps are tested, and the bearings are replaced and Mobil N3 lubricating oil is added. The rotor is dynamically balanced, and the no-load current is tested. The motor is then subjected to no-load testing and the entire machine is painted.

Several equipment usage precautions provided to customers:
1. Regularly clean the internal and external hygiene of the motor;
2. Be moisture-proof when not in use during shutdown;
3. Regularly check the current of the motor and add lubricating grease to the front and rear bearings every 4 months;
4. If abnormal current or exceeding the rated current is found during operation, it must be stopped for inspection in a timely manner.
5. Regularly checking the starting equipment and performing minor motor maintenance every 2 years and major maintenance every 5 years can help extend the service life of the motor.
The customer said that in the past, when it came to maintenance and repair, the shipping cost was particularly high, and the direct return time to the factory was also very long. Now I have contacted Chuangjuman and solved their real problem.
It is also because of professionalism and sincerity that we have received unanimous praise from our customers.
Chuangjuman has over 20 years of experience in high-power motor maintenance, serving brands such as ABB and Siemens. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
