What are the factors that affect Siemens motors

Date:2022-01-22 13:56:33

The three main factors affecting the quality of motors are material quality, quality system, and personnel quality.
1. Siemens motors utilize specially proportioned steel materials, reducing energy loss by 20%-50% in terms of copper loss, iron loss, and mechanical loss, thereby significantly enhancing overall efficiency. The expected service life of a motor can exceed twenty years, and it has been proven that many Siemens motors have been in use for over a hundred years.
2. The winding is the second factor that easily leads to motor damage. After long-term operation, the insulation system, including the enamel on the winding copper wire, begins to deteriorate, resulting in short circuits. High-quality motors can undergo rewinding without significantly reducing their efficiency. Siemens motor windings use Class F insulation, rated at 155°C. The lower the operating temperature of the motor, the longer the insulation system lasts. Typically, when the motor operates at full load, the temperature can drop to 60-80°C, while low-quality motors can exceed 90°C. Theoretically, a 10-15°C reduction in operating temperature can double the winding life and the time between lubrication.
3. Key components of the motor: Bearings are the most prone to malfunction in the motor. Siemens purchases its bearings from renowned companies such as SKF and NSK, while a small portion is sourced from other major bearing manufacturers worldwide, ensuring the reliability of the bearings.
4. The stator is made up of laminations of silicon steel sheets, which are thin steel sheets with insulation and low loss. These silicon steel sheets must have uniform properties and be as thin as possible to maximize the magnetic field strength. Siemens, relying on its technological advantages, has always been in a leading position.
5. The rotor shaft, fan, and junction box have been jointly designed by Siemens
